We offer luxury self catering accommodation in the heart of the beautiful Fife countryside. However, the Estate is located just 10 minutes drive from St Andrews – the home of golf.
If you are planning a golf retreat, Fife really is the best possible location. While there are seven golf courses in St Andrews alone, there are over 50 golf courses throughout Fife, and some 550 courses throughout Scotland.
At Hawkswood Country Estate, we have links to many of the golf courses in Fife. This means we can help you arrange tee times and even golf club hire with our golf concierge service.
Every golfer should visit Scotland. Golf trips in Fife and the surrounding area will let you take on some of the world’s most iconic courses.
You can then return to Hawkswood Country Estate to relax and plan the next course to visit.
There are many world famous golf courses in Fife, making it the ideal location for a golf retreat.
Considered to be the oldest golf course in the world, the Old Course in St Andrews is a must play for many golfers. With records showing golf being played on the course in the 1500s, the Old Course allows you to experience golf history.
Carnoustie Golf Course, which is technically just outside Fife, is thought to be the world’s toughest golf course. With cunning water traps, tricky bunkers and some short fairways, this is a challenge for the very best golfers.
If you want simply a fun round of golf, then visit Elie golf course. This course has just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting as you enjoy a round.
Whatever you are looking for in your golf retreat, Fife has a golf course that will suit you.
